SUMMER/FALL ACTIVITIES

 

Fishing

The Pinedale area is full of fishing opportunities from lakes, ponds and streams. Within walking distance from the hotel fishing can be done at two town parks. With a short drive many more spots become available. Fremont, Half Moon, New Fork, Boulder, Green River and Willow Lakes among others offer Mackinaw, Rainbow and Cutthroat trout as well as a few other species. Fishing Licenses are available at the Game and Fish Department as well as Ridley's Market and Country Lane. Please be sure to contact the Game and Fish Department for seasonal and bait regulations at (307) 367-4353.

Hiking

Pinedale offers hiking and backpacking for both experienced and inexperienced outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by the Wind River and Wyoming Mountain ranges as well as the Jim Bridger and Gros Ventre wilderness areas there are unlimited options for adventure.

Biking

For a quick tour of the town of Pinedale, including the CCC ponds and Fremont Lake, take the new town bike trail! There are also various mountain biking trails for those looking for an adventure.

Golf

Rendezvous Meadows Golf Course is located just across the street from the hotel and offers 9 holes, a driving range and a putting green as well as a pro shop and lounge. The country club contains a bar and restaurant and is newly renovated! The course is closed for the season November through May.

Hunting

The Pinedale area is a wonderful spot for hunting whether using rifle or bow. Surrounded by great wilderness areas Pinedale offers hunting for Bear, Mountain Lion, Elk, Moose, Big Horn Sheep, Deer, Antelope and more. There are multiple outfitters in the area to aid in the sport. Check out Pinedale online for information on contacts and regulations in Wyoming. Pinedale offers both archery and a gun range for target practice.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Pinedale has a unique locally owned and operated ski resort called White Pine Ski Area a mere ten miles from town. White Pine is convenient, family-friendly, and affordable. The ski area terrain offers something for everyone and carries a sense of genuine authenticity that Pinedale itself is known for.
